Thank you for choosing to support Men’s Soccer during the UMW Athletics #CallingAllEagles Challenge!
Mary Washington men’s soccer is trying to achieve four primary goals for our student athletes. First, we want them to have a memorable experience and graduate. Secondly, we want them to have the experience of competing at the national level. Thirdly, we want to maximize their athletic ability through practice/video sessions, weight training and sport psychology. Lastly, we want them to learn and grow through all of their athletic experiences every day with teammates, opponents, competition and community service.
Our team has won the CAC conference championship the last 3 years in a row and has consistently ranked in the top 25 nationally.
Our biggest needs for fundraising are team equipment (goals, player/team equipment, training gear, video software, cameras, sport psychology software) and travel. We want to provide the most competitive schedule, which requires us to travel outside of our region. These trips also happen to help accomplish the goals of great times together and countless memories. In addition, we try to provide our athletes with all of the gear and accessories they need for success, which certainly goes well beyond what a department’s budget can provide.
