What does my #GivingTuesday donation support?

Your donation supports the Fund for Mary Washington, which provides essential dollars for the University's areas of greatest need. Gifts to the Fund for Mary Washington are unrestricted, enabling UMW's leaders to put them to work immediately to benefit critical programs for students and faculty.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes. Your #GivingTuesday gift to Mary Washington is fully tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. You will receive a tax receipt in the mail.

What forms of payment are accepted for my gift?

The four major credit cards are accepted: MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover.

What is the minimum gift amount?

The minimum gift amount is $5.00.

Is it safe to make my gift on this website?

Yes. The donation form on this site is secure and fully compliant with rigorous PCI security standards. We are committed to protecting your personal and payment data. Am I able to designate my gift to another area?

The University's priority for #GivingTuesday is to raise essential dollars for the Fund for Mary Washington. However, if you would like to designate your gift to another area, please note your designation in the Comments field at the bottom of the donation form.

May I make my gift over the phone?

Yes. To be counted among UMW's #GivingTuesday donors, please call 540-654-1024 to make your gift over the phone between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2017.
