Men's Basketball

The University of Mary Washington Men’s Basketball Program is built on three pillars:  the person, student, and the athlete. We pride ourselves on recruiting and retaining quality young men and know that the first step to success is surrounding ourselves with good people.  We want our players to understand the importance of academics and make them their highest priority.  This past year we finished with a cumulative GPA with over a 3.26.  At UMW it is our mission to develop the true student-athlete.  On the court, our program has made great strides and competes at a very high level against the top teams in the country.  We play a very fast-paced, fun style of basketball, based on developing the strength of our team through each individual’s strengths.
