Equestrian

Mary Washington Equestrian is trying to achieve three primary goals with every one of our student-athletes. 

1. Do everything possible to help our riders improve their horsemanship skills in the ring and on the ground. 
2. We want our student-athletes to gain a working knowledge of the Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association. 
3. We want to develop and promote a culture of fair play and good sportsmanship.

Our biggest need for fundraising is travel. Since our entire region competes at every show it is imperative that we attend all of the shows otherwise it is extremely difficult to get individuals qualified for postseason and impossible to get a team qualified for postseason.
