Description
UMW’s Biology Club provides a forum where students interested in this science can gather freely to share their interests with others. The Biology Club engages students through field trips, guest speakers who offer insight on the different branches of biology, and community service to promote the science to those unfamiliar with it. Through these activities, the Biology Club seeks to develop its members as future leaders in their fields by emphasizing the importance of responsibility, accountability, organization, diligence, and interdependence in this branch of science. Last year, donations helped fund our annual Biology faculty picnic, spring field trips, and snacks for study nights, craft supplies, and T-shirt orders.
This year, your support will help us continue the traditions of the spring field trip and the next faculty picnic. We will also purchase supplies for craft events, study nights, nature hikes, and collaborations with fellow clubs. Graduation cords for active participation and leadership within the Biology Club will also be paid for by donations.
