Young Democrats

The purpose of UMWYD is to widen and increase the interest and knowledge of young people in government and the political process of the Democratic party. We aim to increase the role of underrepresented people in our party, government, and society, and to serve those in need in our community. Throughout the year, we host guest speakers and community events that inspire students to get involved, learn from local leaders, and make a meaningful impact both on campus and in the wider community. Our vision is to be a hub for Democratic youth engagement, cultivating the leaders of today and tomorrow.

Your gift will go towards supporting club members and improving support for our club activities, including helping us travel to conventions put on by Virginia Young Dems and other democratic events and providing valuable networking and learning opportunities.
