Chess Club

UMW Chess Club creates a fun, welcoming environment where players of all skill levels come together to enjoy the timeless game of chess. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced player, our club offers opportunities to learn, compete, and connect with fellow chess enthusiasts. We foster strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and friendly competition in a supportive community setting. Last year, donations allowed us to host chess events and further the understanding of chess on the UMW campus.

This year, your support will allow us to buy new equipment for the club and subsidize tournament dues to US Chess Federation tournaments.
