Description
UMW’s DREAM Chapter (Disability Rights, Education, Activism, and Mentoring) advocates for and actively works toward improving disability culture, community, and pride on UMW's campus and within surrounding communities. We promote awareness, accessibility, and inclusion while providing support and resources for students with disabilities. Through education, activism, and mentorship, we work to create a more inclusive campus environment where all students can thrive and succeed. By keeping disability at the forefront of campus conversations, DREAM provides a safe space for students to exchange ideas, challenge inequities, and inspire positive change.
Your support enables us to to provide activities for club members and campus community, and help promote our newly formed club. This year, we already have events in the works, like rock painting for disabilities awareness month, lunch and learns, a silent disco dance, and an accessibility fashion show.
