Our Crowdfunding Groups
The UMW Ecology Club is an on-campus organization that strives to help foster a love for nature at UMW and to give those who enjoy the outdoors a community with which to engage in fun and fulfilling activities such as hikes, service projects, and lectures on various ecology-related topics.
We have organized trash pick-ups on campus, tree climbing lessons, foraging excursions, and hiking trips for our members. These events were made possible thanks to the funding we receive from the University, fundraisers, and now our own loved ones. We will use the money raised this semester to plan more engaging off-campus trips, such as a multi-day camping trip and/or kayaking on the Rappahannock River. We appreciate anything that anyone has to give, and hope that our actions bring UMW students closer to the outdoors for the rest of their lives!
