Our Crowdfunding Groups
The UMW SGA strives to be an organization that represents all students to the UMW administration, departments across campus, and any other matters concerning students’ rights, wants, and needs. We serve to create legislation to make changes to campus policies, engage in productive and meaningful dialogue with students, and find ways to bridge gaps between administration, faculty, and staff and engage them with student voices. We’ve created a number of successful changes on campus and enacted a multitude of policies, from providing tampons and pads in restrooms across campus to investigating academic standards during the pandemic.
With the money raised, we hope to purchase materials for our SAE office, create SGA merch, such as pens, buttons, our iconic SGA stress Eagles, and other knick-knacks to give away and allow students to know us better, and put money aside for projects that elected members of SGA can use, as well as future members, to better connect with their constituents. This money would also be used to help set up SGA-sponsored events, as well as allow us to co-sponsor events on campus. We hope that you’ll consider donating to us so that we can continue to serve our student population with the best resources possible!
