NAACP

The Mary Washington Unit of NAACP strives to achieve equity, political rights, and social inclusion by advancing policies and practices that expand human and civil rights, eliminate discrimination, and accelerate the well-being, education, and economic security of black people and all persons of color.

Last semester, we held a successful fundraiser for the Richmond Community Bail Fund. The nonprofit organizations we work with are determined by the student body of our NAACP. 

NAACP’s current goal is to increase civic engagement through voting. Most of our events for this semester pertain to increasing voter turnout and registration on campus. Your gift will be recycled back into the community through partnering with or donating to nonprofit organizations!
