Our Crowdfunding Groups
One of the main goals for Women of Color is to bring together the community and increase engagement at the University of Mary Washington. For the past year we have successfully collaborated with multiple clubs and organizations on campus which include Latino Student Association, Black Student Association, Students Empowering and Educating Diversity and others. Some of the main events we were able to bring back after COVID were UMW’s annual Step-Show, Black UMW Social, and Hollaween which are events put on by these collaborations hosting over 200 students and members of the community. We have been able to reach a great variety of students through these events but also the community when Women of Color was able to host a Women’s Drive for our local women's shelter, Empowerhouse.
With your support, we will be able to continue to host events with other students as well as be able to connect more with our members through events and activities.
