The goal of the Black Student Association (BSA) is to create a space for Black students to indulge in conversations about our past, present, and future. Talking about prominent issues at UMW, throughout Virginia, in the U.S., and around the world, we want our members to speak truthfully about their thoughts and feelings on pertinent subjects. BSA puts on events such as Kwanzaa and an annual step show. We also participate in Black History Month celebrations and bi-weekly club meetings, allowing our members to speak on situations that they have experienced personally, or have noticed and wish to speak on, without feeling out of place.
Your support will help to fund various activities we will put on during our meetings in hopes of creating a safe and calming space for our members to learn and grow.
