Talk to the Hands

Talk to the Hands fosters leadership and cultural awareness through educational projects centered on American Sign Language (ASL) and Deaf culture. We meet weekly to learn and practice ASL while engaging with Deaf culture through trips, activities, and immersive experiences. Our programming promotes linguistic diversity and builds connections between hearing and Deaf communities through shared learning and meaningful experiences.

Your gift will help us host events like Silent Dinners and Silent Lunches to encourage ASL engagement across campus, provide club t-shirts, and fund activities that spark broader interest in ASL. With your support, we can extend our impact beyond our members and share a love for ASL throughout the UMW community.
