While a gift to any area on campus benefits students and the University, this year we are actively advocating for contributions to the Fund for Mary Washington. As the University's unrestricted fund, your gift to the Fund for Mary Washington allows University leadership to have the resources necessary to ensure adequate funding for areas across campus, ensuring we have the best faculty to continue the level of excellence in our classrooms our alumni expect, and provides the resources necessary for our students to succeed.
Gifts to the Fund for Mary Washington do something special—because the Fund doesn’t just support one program; it touches nearly every corner of this campus. Recent gifts to the Fund has fueled bold campus initiatives that expand career-readiness opportunities, enhance preservation efforts, fund original research, and sharpen the leadership skills that prepare students for life after Mary Washington.
Alumni of the last decade have a special opportunity to join our President's Circle. Usually a gift of $2,500, members of the classes of 2014-2023 can make a gift of $500 or more to the Fund for Mary Washington and join our President's Circle. President’s Circle members are recognized with their name on a donor wall outside of the President’s Office in GW and are invited to special events throughout the year. You can break out your gift into monthly payments and be a President's Circle member as long as the full $500 is fulfilled by the end of our fiscal year, June 30th.
